Make Your Own Flyers with PowerPoint

How to make a flyer in PowerPoint for Beginners.

It's easy to whip up your own event or marketing flyers with MS PowerPoint if you follow these basic instructions.

This way you can get your flyers done much faster and make them look like you envision.

1. Open Microsoft PowerPoint.

2. File Menu -> Page Setup.

3. Enter the Page Size / Final Flyer size you want.

   • In most cases, enter 8.5 W X 11 H (US Letter size).

   • Ignore/Decline any warnings that this is too big for printer, etc.

4. Delete any text boxes that are by default on the slide, so that you have a blank slide.

5. Go to the Insert Menu -> Photo -> Picture from File.

6. Choose an image or a pre-existing PDF that you want to base your flyer on.

7. Add Text Boxes and other content where you want ON TOP OF the PDF or Image.

   • Insert your event details on top of a colored box so that it stands out on the flyer.

8. File -> Save As... -> PDF.

9. Print or Email. :)
